1 FIFA WORLD CUP 2022(QATAR)
The 2022 FIFA WORLD CUP WILL BE THE 22nd CONTINUING COMPETITION OF FIFA WORLDCUP. It is scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, 2022. The quadrennial men's international soccer championship played between the senior national teams of the members associated with FIFA. The will take place in Qatar for the first time in Arabian countries & the 2nd time in entire Asia after the 2002 event happened in Japan & South Korea. The 2022 event will happen between 32 teams & may increase to 48 teams in the next upcoming event(2026 tournament) in the United States, Mexico & Canada.
Most of the time the event was held in the months, of May, June, or July in the northern autumn but due to the summer heat in Qatar, the event will happen in November - December and this is also the first time, the tournament will take place in late-nov to mid-dec. The opening event is scheduled for Qatar vs Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor. The event will take place for around 29 days and the final will be played on 18th December 2022 on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

Fifa had to face deep criticism & allegations of corruption & bribery in the bidding process, the allegations were also made against FIFA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS. The accusations were related to how Qatar won the right to host the event & the query is being investigated by FIFA. Meanwhile, Qatar also facing criticism for not Paying & misbehaving with the workers working for the event.
TEAMS QUALIFICATION FOR FIFA WORLD CUP 2022
Qatar being the host country was automatically qualified while the others team associated with FIFA, currently numbering 211 from six continents were eligible if they are associated with FIFA or approved by FIFA. The remaining 31 teams had to go through different qualifications process to qualify for the playoffs. Among 32 teams overall 21 teams were the same teams that had played in the 2018 event which is FIFA WORLD CUP 2018(Russia). Qatar is the only team to make a new debut in the 2022 event after Italy was the first in the 1934 event. Italy could not qualify for the second time in World Cup even being 4-Times World champions. Russia was disqualified due to the Russia-Ukrain war scenario. Being in the 61st position GHANA made its way to the qualification being the lowest-ranked team to qualify in the entire tournament.

TEAMS DRAWING PROCESS
The Drawing process took place at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre in Doha, Qatar on 1 April 2022. The overall teams i.e 32 teams were divided into four pots on the basis of FIFA MEN's WORLD RANKING till 31st march 2022. Pots were also divided with great internal concepts like, POT 1 contained Qatar host country with 7 best teams, POT 2 with next best 8 teams, POT 3 with next best 8 teams & POT 4 with 5 teams with the lowest rank including two inter-confederation play-off winners & UEFA path A play-off winner.

32 teams were qualified through the different processes 6 from AFC, 4 from CONCACAF, 13 from UEFA, 5 from CAF, 4 from CONMEBOL, and none qualified from OPC.

FIFA WORLD CUP 2022 TEAMS' ROSTERS
Before only 23 players were allowed in the final roster but this time it has increased to 26. Teams were said to submit a 55-member roster to FIFA by 21 October without making members public.

Qatar had proposed the 12 stadiums but finalized with 8 as
1) Lusil Iconic Stadium(Lusail) with a capacity of 80,000 people
2) Al Bayt Stadium (Al Khor) with a capacity of 60,000
3) Stadium 974(Doha) with capacity 40,000
4) Al Thumama Stadium(Doha) with capacity 40,000
5) Khalifa International Stadium(Doha) with capacity 45,416
6) Education City Stadium(Al Rayyan) with capacity 45,350
7) Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium(Al Rayyan) with capacity 44,470
8) Al Janoub Stadium(Al Rayyan) with capacity 40,000
Qatar has also said to build Iconic, world-class stadiums for the tournament with a cooling system to reduce the temperature to 20 degrees celsius from Qatar's hot climatic conditions. All the stadiums are designed by Albert Speer & partners belonging to Germany Architect.
This world cup will be the most expensive World cup held till now, the expense of all the events happening till now & world cup 2022 can be compared. Qatar is not only building world-class stadiums but also the whole planned city along with apartments, city metro, road transport, water transport, and all the facilities of state of the art. The report says Qatar is spending $500 million every week for Worldcup 2022.
TEAMS BOOTCAMP & TRAINING SITES( FIFA WORLDCUP 2022)
The teams will be provided with world-class hotel and motel facilities along with training sites, transportation, and all necessary facilities. The sites are in about a 10 km radius so, players don,t have to take flights like, since 1930, players used to do.

BROADCASTING RIGHTS
The Fifa world cup 2022 could be the most-watched event in its history as stated by Infantino on May 2022. Accordingly, it will serve a 5 billion audience around the globe, beating the 2018 event that had 3.57 billion records. However, how the tournament will be covered is not known till now.
But in February 2015 Fifa had already extended its media rights contracts in the United States and Canada with NBC Universal(U.S Spanish), FOX(U.S English) & Bell Media(Canada) till 2026.

MATCH BALL
The official match ball is named "Al Rihla". It was revealed on March 30,2022. It represents the culture, boats, architecture & iconic flag of Qatar. The word "Al Rihla" in the Arabian language means " the Journey". The ball is designed with sustainability as a priority and making it the only official match ball made with water-based glues and inks. This time Adidas also introduced a new feature inside the ball and added a device inside the ball that improves the ball stability and provides speed detail to a server in 5G speed.
FIFA WORLD CUP 2022 OFFICIAL MUSIC
Before 2022 only one official song used to be released for the WORLD CUP but this time creating a record it has released a full soundtrack with 3 songs in total:
1) the First song is "Hayya Hayya (Better Together)" performed by Trinidad Cardona, Davido, and AISHA, released on 1 April 2022 along with the music video
2) The second song is "Arhbo", performed by Gims and Ozuna, released on 19 August 2022 along with the music video.
3) The Third song is "Light The Sky" performed by Nora Fatehi, Manal, Rahma Riad, and Balqees. Composed by RedOne and released on 7 October 2022 along with the music video.
